Congregation Linas Hatzedek Anshei Sfard is established.

Established by members of Congregation Chevra Metshnaes, it meets initially at 123 Crawford Street. According to a notation in a record compiled by the Jewish Genealogical Society of Greater Boston, the congregation was “Too pious to maintain itself.”
